If so, we are searching for a data-driven, customer-focused, problem-solver to join our client’s Software Data Support team as aSQL Data Analyst.

Due to the nature of our roles, candidates must be a UK resident residing within commutable distance to Birmingham. Please note that we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

  • Up to £32,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Handing customer queries and investigating the current state of data to identify possible solutions, in line with agreed SLAs/KPIs.
  • Identifying and managing the appropriate priorities and required actions for escalation.
  • Creating and testing SQL scripts to manipulate and analyse data on Microsoft SQL Servers.
  • Accurately managing and completing data conversions and imports for customers within the initial project phase
  • Providing customers with product usage advice and guidance.
  • Gather, process and analyse large datasets from various sources to extract meaningful insights.
  • Manage and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Perform data cleanses and preprocessing to ensure high-quality data for analysis.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to visualise KPIs and trends.
  • Apply statistical techniques to interpret data and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Identify patterns and trends in data sets to inform business strategies.
  • Develop and implement predictive models to forecast future trends and outcomes.
  • Conducting Root Cause Analysis to prevent recurring data problems.
  • Support the configuration in the setting up of new customers.
  • Understanding and following internal processes to ensure ISO compliance.

Key Skills, Competencies & Attributes

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL (MS SQL) Server, including the ability to create, understand and review complex SQL queries.
  • Strong SQL Infrastructure/Administration skills.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within a commercial software support environment, having utilised ticket management systems.
  • Able to work well under pressure, capable of adapting to and demonstrating resilience in relation to evolving business requirements.
  • An ability to take ownership of your workload and use initiative when problem solving.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic hardware infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of data-driven regulatory requirements, including Data Privacy & GDPR.
  • Experience with Team Foundation Server is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
  • Are a UK resident with unrestricted right to work in the UK.
