Location: Birmingham (Hybrid working - office and remote)
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: 65,000 to 80,000 + car allowance, benefits, 2 paid volunteering days, and bonus
Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday

Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Data Architect to design and implement innovative data solutions using Microsoft Data Services (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Power BI). You'll collaborate with customers to solve data challenges, ensuring scalable, secure, and cost-effective architectures that drive success.

Key Responsibilities

Translate customer requirements into actionable data architecture and implementation plans
Lead data pipeline design, ETL/ELT processes, and integrations using Azure tools
Collaborate with infrastructure teams on scalable and secure Azure data architectures
Develop and define best practices for database design, data modelling, and ETL
Build strong relationships with customers, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor
Ensure compliance with security and information assurance requirements
Document data architecture, processes, and solutions clearly

Skills & Experience

Proven experience in Data Architecture with expertise in Microsoft Data Services (Azure Synapse, Power BI, Azure Data Factory, etc.)
Strong communication and leadership skills
Experience with data warehousing, data lakes, and pipeline design
Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, or Scala
Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect or Azure Data Engineer) are a plus
