The RoleThis is a hybrid role, blending technical expertise with stakeholder engagement. As a Data Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in designing, building, and maintaining robust cloud-based data platforms. Collaborating with the Data Architect and Business Intelligence (BI) teams, you’ll ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with organisational needs.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Designing and maintaining data models and pipelines to support regulatory and operational activities.
- Managing cloud-based data platforms, including Common Data Models (CDMs) and Semantic Data Models (SDMs).
- Collaborating with stakeholders to deliver reporting and analytics solutions using Power BI.
- Driving development through Azure DevOps and Git source control within CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensuring data integrity, security, and thorough documentation.
Essential Skills:
- Proven ability to collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Expertise in SQL and T-SQL, with a strong focus on query optimisation and large-scale data processing.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, data integration tools, and database management.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
