About the Role:My client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a talented Data Engineer to join their expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity for a data-driven professional who thrives on designing, building, and optimising data pipelines to support business intelligence and analytics across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support analytics and reporting requirements.

  • ETL Processes: Build and enhance ETL processes to integrate data from multiple sources seamlessly.

  • Database Management: Manage relational and non-relational databases, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and key business stakeholders to ensure data is clean, accessible, and actionable.

  • Data Quality & Security: Maintain high standards for data integrity, quality, and security throughout the data lifecycle.

  • Cloud Technologies: Leverage cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure for data storage, processing, and deployment.

  • Performance Optimisation: Continuously monitor and optimise data infrastructure to enhance performance and resolve any data-related issues.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused role.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).

  • Solid understanding of data warehousing principles and data modelling best practices.

  • Familiarity with modern ETL frameworks and data orchestration tools.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tackling data challenges.
