About the Role:My client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a talented Data Engineer to join their expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity for a data-driven professional who thrives on designing, building, and optimising data pipelines to support business intelligence and analytics across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:

Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support analytics and reporting requirements.

ETL Processes: Build and enhance ETL processes to integrate data from multiple sources seamlessly.

Database Management: Manage relational and non-relational databases, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.

Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and key business stakeholders to ensure data is clean, accessible, and actionable.

Data Quality & Security: Maintain high standards for data integrity, quality, and security throughout the data lifecycle.

Cloud Technologies: Leverage cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure for data storage, processing, and deployment.

Performance Optimisation: Continuously monitor and optimise data infrastructure to enhance performance and resolve any data-related issues.
Skills & Experience:

Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused role.

Strong proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).

Solid understanding of data warehousing principles and data modelling best practices.

Familiarity with modern ETL frameworks and data orchestration tools.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tackling data challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:

Approximately 5 years of experience working with real-time data processing and streaming technologies.

Familiarity with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Understanding of machine learning concepts and supporting data infrastructure.
