Senior Analytics Engineer
We are looking for a talented Senior Data & Analytics Engineer to join one of our exciting clients based in the West Midlands. This role is pivotal in developing and delivering advanced data solutions that drive business decisions. You will be responsible for creating insightful Power BI reports and dashboards, analysing complex data, managing ETL processes, and leveraging technologies such as Azure Databricks and Python/PySpark.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build custom Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Optimize reports for performance and scalability, updating them based on feedback and evolving requirements.
- Analyse business data to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities for growth.
- Deliver clear and concise data analysis that can be easily understood by non-technical stakeholders.
- Work with the team to enhance reporting infrastructure and improve the customer experience.
- Implement and manage ETL processes, ensuring efficient data integration and transformation.
- Provide support and guidance to customers on using reports and dashboards.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and ensure reporting solutions align with their goals.
- Lead discussions with internal teams to translate customer requirements into actionable reporting solutions.
- Advise stakeholders on effective data visualization techniques to meet their objectives.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Advanced expertise working with Power BI
- Experience in data analysis and identifying growth opportunities.
- Familiarity with ETL tools and data integration processes.
- Strong understanding of business processes and KPIs.
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in SQL or other query languages.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with embedded analytics solutions like Power BI Embedded.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Databricks.
- Skills in Lakehouse, Delta Lake, Data Warehousing, CDC, Stream Processing, Database Design, and Machine Learning.
- Proficiency in technologies such as Azure Databricks, Python/PySpark, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Blob Storage, Parquet, Azure Data Factory, and Terraform.
