This leading multidisciplinary consultancy of Architects, Planners, Engineers and Project Managers continue to win some highly prestigious projects across the Energy, Food, Healthcare, Residential and Educational sectors, which has led to this key appointment.
As the group goes from strength to strength they require a highly responsible lead to manage the company`s Building Services Department across the UK Business units in terms of operational delivery and excellence to resource allocation against projects and to Learning & Development of the team.
For your part you will have responsibility for leading a sizeable team whilst playing an active role in managing and developing client relationships and accounts as well as contributing to proposals and technical delivery and execution against projects.
Seen as a highly visible and challenging role within the UK businesses with a diverse range of involvement and responsibility you will have the ability to inspire confidence from client briefings through to proposal preparation and design execution. Develop the Building Services team so it has the capability to deliver to an excellent level across all projects.
As well as managing the department you will be coordinating with other disciplines and resources. Also supporting the Building Group Manager to develop and deliver the Building services elements of the overall group development plan across UK business units.
In addition manage, develop and mentor resources in the department including supporting graduate programme. Develop and manage the compilation of the Building Services deliverables list to suit individual project requirements and manage the progress and quality of those deliverables. Ensure compliance with the group and/or customer procedures, organise appropriate reviews (including peer reviews) and approve project documents for issue. Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure the correct quality of deliverable is achieved in the correct timeframe based on the project schedule.
A well- seasoned Engineer with a CIBSE qualification and extensive knowledge in the Midlands market is sought with demonstrable experience across a wide sectors of work.
A working knowledge of BREEAM, LEED and related concepts is highly desirable as well as being a seasoned Building Services professional with a strong ethical approach to safety, quality, environmental protection and business
