Digital Engineer - Mechanical and Electrical (Energy and Utilities)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Digital Engineer with expertise in Revit to join our mechanical and electrical engineering team within the energy and utilities sector. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, experience with digital engineering tools, and a passion for driving innovation through digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. **BIM Modeling and Coordination:**

- Develop and maintain detailed BIM models using Revit for mechanical and electrical systems.

- Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure integration and consistency of models.

2. **Design and Documentation:**

- Create accurate and detailed design documentation, including drawings, schematics, and specifications.

- Ensure all digital models comply with industry standards and project requirements.

3. **Digital Innovation:**

- Implement and promote the use of advanced digital engineering tools and techniques.

- Drive innovation through the application of digital technologies to improve project delivery and efficiency.

4. **Project Support:**

- Provide digital engineering support to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.

- Assist with the development of digital project execution plans and BIM strategies.

5. **Quality Assurance:**

- Conduct regular quality checks on BIM models to ensure accuracy and compliance.

- Implement best practices for digital engineering and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends.

6. **Collaboration and Communication:**

- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

- Participate in project meetings and provide technical input on digital engineering matters.

7. **Training and Development:**

- Provide training and support to team members on the use of Revit and other digital engineering tools.

- Stay current with advancements in digital engineering and share knowledge with the team.

8. **Data Management:**

- Manage digital engineering data and ensure it is stored and organized effectively.

- Develop and maintain libraries of standard components and templates for use in digital models.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

- Proven experience as a Digital Engineer or similar role within the mechanical and electrical engineering sector.

- Proficiency in Revit is essential; experience with other BIM tools (e.g., Navisworks, AutoCAD) is a plus.

- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and their integration within BIM models.

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in digital modeling and documentation.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
