We are inviting applications for the role of Nursery Nurse with our client, a supportive and thriving school in Birmingham. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the team, dedicated to providing high-quality care and education in line with our ethos and values.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Uphold and promote the school’s ethos, aims, and objectives, applying policies consistently.
  • Share in the responsibility for pupil welfare and positive behaviour, adhering to school policies.
  • Foster positive working relationships with colleagues to support effective teamwork.
  • Engage in creating educational displays and attend staff meetings, parent evenings, and school events.
  • Communicate professionally with parents/carers regarding their children’s development needs.
  • Support the Room Leader with observational records, planning, and care routines for your group.
  • Establish secure attachments with key children and support their transitions between settings.
  • Collaborate with other professionals supporting children in your group.
  • Participate in supervision duties and assist in the preparation and maintenance of resources.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A minimum of Level 3 Childcare related qualification.
  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics at Grade C or above (if Childcare Qualification achieved after September 2014).
  • Current paediatric First Aid Certificate or willingness to undertake training.
  • Commitment to the school’s ethos, foundation, and values.
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Ability to apply school policies and contribute to the school’s vision and aims.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Willingness to engage in professional development and supervision programmes.
