Willo Education are working exclusively with a small franchise of nurseries who have settings in the Great Barr, Dudley and Tipton areas. Due to expansion all three nurseries are looking for permanent nursery practitioners to join their forever growing team. You will need to have a minimum of 6 months experience working with nursery aged children, have a positive can-do attitude and be passionate about supporting and inspiring children at the early stages of their education.

The nurseries are all Ofsted 'GOOD’ and take a lot of pride in their settings. You will be working along side teams with hands on management who can’t do enough to help and support you. As a permanent member of the team, you may be required to take on responsibilities such as having Key Children with room for progression to room leader etc.

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or able to apply for a new one.
  • 6 months experience working with children aged 0-4 years.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Have experience working with children in the UK.
  • Be able to provide x2 sufficient references.
  • Have a level 2 or 3 in childcare.
  • Paediatric First Aid Trained (desired but not mandatory)

Your duties will include:

  • Create activities that meet the individual needs and interests of children in your area in conjunction with other team members.
    • Engage in good team working.
    • To be flexible within working practices of the nursery. Be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the nursery, e.g., preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment etc.
    • To respect the confidentiality of all information received for both children & staff.
    • To ensure that mealtimes are a time of pleasant social sharing and educational for the children.
    • Washing and changing children as required - cover may be required for other rooms where needed.
    • To ensure good standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times adhering to the nursery standards and deep cleans weekly.
