- Acting as an Assistant Headteacher with a focus on teaching and learning strategies.
- Supporting the Headteacher in the day-to-day running of the school.
- Leading and mentoring teaching assistants and classroom staff in your role as Assistant Headteacher.
- Working closely with the SENDCO to ensure that all pupils' learning needs are met.
- Developing and implementing Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs) as an Assistant Headteacher.
- Engaging with parents, carers, and external agencies to support pupil progress.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in a SEND setting.
- Previous experience as an Assistant Headteacher or in a leadership role within a SEND school.
- A strong understanding of moderate to severe learning needs and how to support them.
- The ability to motivate and support staff in your role as Assistant Headteacher.
- Experience in safeguarding and promoting pupil well-being.
