Assistant Headteacher – SEND School (Primary)Are you an experienced Assistant Headteacher looking for a new challenge in a SEND school? This welcoming and inclusive primary SEND school is seeking a dedicated Assistant Headteacher to join their leadership team. Supporting children with moderate to severe learning needs, this role is ideal for an Assistant Headteacher who is passionate about creating an inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.As an Assistant Headteacher at this school, you will be working closely with the Headteacher and senior leadership team to ensure that pupils receive the best possible education and support. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Headteacher who is looking to make a lasting impact on young learners in a well-resourced and supportive setting.Job Role:
  • Acting as an Assistant Headteacher with a focus on teaching and learning strategies.
  • Supporting the Headteacher in the day-to-day running of the school.
  • Leading and mentoring teaching assistants and classroom staff in your role as Assistant Headteacher.
  • Working closely with the SENDCO to ensure that all pupils' learning needs are met.
  • Developing and implementing Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs) as an Assistant Headteacher.
  • Engaging with parents, carers, and external agencies to support pupil progress.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in a SEND setting.
  • Previous experience as an Assistant Headteacher or in a leadership role within a SEND school.
  • A strong understanding of moderate to severe learning needs and how to support them.
  • The ability to motivate and support staff in your role as Assistant Headteacher.
  • Experience in safeguarding and promoting pupil well-being.
