Assistant Headteacher – Teaching & Learning Are you an experienced Assistant Headteacher of Middle Leader looking for a new and exciting challenge?  Are you passionate about inspiring academic success and giving every child access to an outstanding education? This excellent Alternative Provision is looking to add an Assistant Headteacher to the team who will make a positive impact on student outcomes. Ideally this school is looking for an Assistant Headteacher who has a background teaching a core subject (English, Maths or Science) or has a demonstrable track record leading success in these areas.This school is a pleasure to work for, the staff are supported well, and students enjoy attending school. There is an excellent core teaching team in place and although this an Alternative Provision setting, the behaviour policy is effective.  As Assistant Headteacher you will be working closely with the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher to improve outcomes for students. This role requires previous experience as an Assistant Headteacher or in a middle leadership capacity and requires Qualified Teacher Status. Job Role:
  • Hold responsibility for quality of Teaching and Learning across the school, ensuring that high standards of teaching and learning are maintained.
  • Responsible for planning and delivering the CPD programme for teaching staff.
  • Mentoring Early Careers Teachers and less experienced staff.
  • Acting as a role model for all staff, contributing to the school’s vision and values.
  • Teaching a limited timetable.
  • Using data and analytics to drive school performance and ensure that targeted interventions are in place.
