Classroom Assistant / Teaching AssistantAre you Level 3 Classroom Assistant or TA looking for a new opportunity within a supportive SEMH school? Are you resilient, caring and determined to support young people with additional needs?  This excellent SEMH school is looking for a Teaching Assistant or Classroom Assistant to provide small group support on an ongoing basis.The school itself has won awards for its outstanding contributions to student support and the headteacher has been recognised for the positive impact that they have had on the students and community that they support.  As a Classroom Assistant you will be supporting an experienced teacher in ensuring that the needs of students are met, and that behaviour is managed effectively. You will join a dynamic and committed team of classroom assistants and teaching assistants, who have an excellent understanding of the individual needs of students. This role requires experience as a Classroom or Teaching Assistant, or relevant experience supporting young people with SEMH needs. Job Role:
  • Supporting challenging behaviours on a 1-2-1 basis
  • Working as a Behaviour Mentor / Classroom Assistant
  • Acting as a positive role model for students
  • Delivering 1-2-1 intervention sessions focused on communication and behaviours
  • Helping students to reengage with education
