We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team at one of our primary school in Bartley Green, Birmingham.

As a successful candidate, you will have a Level 2 or above qualification in Early Years Education, with significant experience in managing challenging behaviour in young children. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively with both children and their families to ensure the best outcomes for our pupils.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences for our Early Years pupils
  • Developing and implementing strategies to manage challenging behaviour and promote positive behaviour in the classroom
  • Working closely with parents and carers to ensure that our pupils receive consistent support and care both at home and at school
  • Supporting the development of individual education plans and tracking pupil progress

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • A Level 2 or above qualification in Early Years Education
  • Significant experience in managing challenging behaviour in young children
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to supporting the needs of all pupils, including those with special educational needs

Desirable qualifications and skills:

  • Experience of working in a similar role within a primary school setting
  • A Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
