Teaching Assistant - KS1

  • Job Type: Fixed-term contract (12 months)
  • Hours: 32.5 hours per week, term time only
  • Location: Birmingham
  • Start Date: As soon as possible
  • Salary: £25,119 to £31,364 pro rata (Subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review)

Reed are currently assisting a welcoming and inclusive two-form entry school, who are looking for a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team and contribute to teaching in KS1. This school is known for its hardworking staff and pupils who are highly motivated and engaged.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of the KS1 Curriculum with up-to-date knowledge and practices.
  • Work as a committed team player with excellent organisational and motivational skills.
  • Maintain high expectations for oneself and others, ensuring all children make good progress from their starting points.
  • Foster and nurture positive relationships with all pupils and commit to inclusive practice for all.
  • Take a leading role in building effective partnerships with parents and colleagues.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A Teaching Assistant qualification level 3 or equivalent.
  • The ability to inspire colleagues to achieve individual and whole school targets.
  • Strong subject knowledge across EYFS and KS1.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents.
