Your New Company
Are you a Head of Year, Teacher, or Teaching Assistant looking for an exciting opportunity within a Local Authority? Hays, the exclusive recruiting partner for Birmingham City Council, is currently supporting them in recruiting a Managing Attendance Coordinator on a full-time temporary basis.
Your New RoleFollowing a recent restructure, the service has identified the need for a Managing Attendance Coordinator. This includes attending termly meetings with allocated schools and keeping the child at the center of any advice or intervention.
You will support schools, the local authority, statutory safeguarding partners, and other partners in overcoming barriers to good attendance, ensuring all children can access the full-time education they are entitled to, with a strong focus on inclusion for vulnerable children.
You will collaborate with schools, Head Teachers, and parents to promote improved pupil attendance and reduce suspensions and permanent exclusions. This full-time position offers hybrid working, with two days in the office per week. The office is located in Birmingham City Centre, within walking distance of main train stations.
