Are you passionate about supporting children with SEND? Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for a lovely Primary School in the Hodge Hill area of Birmingham. They are seeking a SEND Hub Teaching Assistant to work with students with ASD, Down Syndrome, and other complex needs.

Role Overview: · Support students learning and development. · Implement IEPs and targeted interventions. · Build positive relationships and promote independence. · Provide personal care as needed with respect and sensitivity. · Collaborate with teachers and specialists to support student needs.

Requirements: · Experience working with children with SEND (ASD/Down Syndrome). · Comfortable with personal care. · Strong communication and a patient, empathetic approach.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS · Location - Hodge Hill, Birmingham · Position - SEND Teaching Assistant · Type of work - SEND Hub TA · Start date - January 2025 · Duration / Likely Duration - Long term opportunity for the rest of the academic year · End date (if applicable) - July 2025 · Contract type - Temporary · Full time/part time - Full time · Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate GBP90 per day · Hours - 8:30 am - 4pm (full day) EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS · Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualifications · Previous experience working in a UK school including SEND experience - in either permanent or long-term roles · Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: · Hold Right to Work in the UK · Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application · Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years OTHER If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV.
