Teaching Assistant required to support a Key Stage 4 child with a primary diagnosis of Autism. This welcoming SEND school is looking to add a supportive and caring Teaching Assistant to the team to work with this child in the classroom and help them to engage with lessons. You will be joining an experienced team of Teaching Assistants who are focused on providing children with everything that they need to have a wonderful education.As a Teaching Assistant you will primarily be working on a 1-2-1 basis with this child, however, will also be involved in whole class activities. Staff are friendly and you will feel like part of the team from day one. Experience working with Autism is essential and ideally you will have previous experience in a special school. This role requires a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and previous experience as a Teaching Assistant. About the School:

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1-2-1 a student with Autism in a Ket Stage 4 class.

Requirements:
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or experience as a TA or LSA.

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs.
  • A valid DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Understanding of the Teaching Assistant/Classroom Assistant role.
