LTF Recruitment is seeking a committed and empathetic Teaching Assistant to work with our partner primary school in the Kings Norton area. This role involves supporting students in their SATs preparation, delivering focused interventions to enhance academic progress, and assisting them in making a seamless transition to the next stage of their education. The school is looking for a full-time teaching assistant to start in January, with the potential for the position to become permanent for the right candidate.

Expectations for the role:

  • Assist the teacher in delivering lessons and activities by preparing resources, organising equipment, and ensuring the classroom remains a positive and structured learning space.
  • Implement targeted interventions designed to support pupils' academic progress, adapted to meet their unique needs.
  • Play an active role in preparing students for SATs, boosting their confidence and helping them achieve their full potential.
  • Offer personalised support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) while also leading small group activities to foster engagement and development.

Ideally, you will:

  • Possess a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or a related degree.
  • Have a minimum of one year's experience working with primary school children, preferably within Key Stage 2.
  • Demonstrate experience in conducting both group and one-to-one interventions effectively.
