Teaching Assistant | B19 | January 2025

Long Term Futures Recruitment is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in B19, Birmingham. This role involves supporting students across resource bases, helping them to reach their full potential in an inclusive and supportive environment.

Start: January 2025

Location: B19, Birmingham

Daily Rate: £95 - £105

Days: Full Time, Monday - Friday, Term Time Only

Hours: 8:30am - 3:45pm

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs across resource bases.
  • Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs, ensuring all pupils can access the curriculum effectively.
  • Deliver focused interventions in areas such as phonics and reading to support student progress.
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff, and families to promote an inclusive and collaborative learning environment.
  • Support pupils with additional needs, including Autism (ASD) and ADHD, through individual and small group sessions.
  • Work closely with the teaching team to ensure effective implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Requirements:
  • A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or degree.
  • Experience working in a school environment, particularly with children who have SEND.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and staff.
  • A patient and adaptable approach, with the ability to respond flexibly to student needs.
