Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant who enjoys working in Alternative Provisions and helping young people to overcome barriers to learning? This excellent Alternative Provision is looking to add a Teaching Assistant to the team to provide support for Key stage 3 & 4 children who have been excluded from mainstream education.This school has brilliant facilities and provides a nurturing environment for students with SEMH needs who require additional classroom support. As a Teaching Assistant you will be mentoring young people, managing behaviours, and providing addition al academic support for students. Joining this school as a Teaching Assistant you will be joining an outstanding team of Teachers and Ta’s who prioritise needs of the young people that they support. This role requires an experienced Teaching Assistant / Mentor. Job Role:
  • Supporting on a 1-2-1 and small group basis within small classes of KS4 children with SEMH needs.
  • Having a good understanding of a range of additional needs.
  • Working as a Classroom Assistant / Teaching Assistant.
  • Taking part in whole school activities and making school fun, engaging and beneficial for pupils.
  • Dismantling barriers to communication and managing behaviours.
