Long Term Futures is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support KS2 students in Year 5 and Year 6. This full-time role involves working closely with the class teacher to ensure a positive and productive learning environment for all pupils.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom-based support to Year 5 and Year 6 students.
  • Assist in delivering lessons, ensuring all pupils remain engaged and supported.
  • Help manage classroom behavior in line with the school's policies.
  • Support group activities, interventions, and catch-up sessions to help pupils achieve their potential.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure progress is monitored and feedback is actioned.
  • Encourage and promote independence among pupils, boosting their confidence.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Have experience working in a primary school, particularly in KS2.
  • Be confident supporting children across a range of abilities, including those with SEN.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with pupils.
  • Be proactive, flexible, and committed to creating a positive learning environment.
