Smart Education is currently recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a secondary school setting. The ideal candidate will work alongside class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils, promote independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion, and provide tailored support to students both individually and in groups.

Job Requirements for this Teaching Assistant role:• Must have experience supporting young people with SEN and challenging behaviour in a school setting• Ability to establish positive relationships with pupils and empathise with their needs• Experience supporting students diagnosed with SEMH, Autism, ADHD, and mild learning difficulties• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting diverse learning styles• Ability to provide tailored support to meet individual student needs• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with teachers and SENCOs• Must hold a valid Enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply for one)

This role involves working within a secondary school supporting students with a variety of additional needs. You will help pupils access the curriculum, participate in learning, and experience a sense of achievement, all while fostering their independence and self-esteem.
