Teaching Assistant required to support Key Stage 3 & 4 children with special educational needs. Are you a level 3 Teaching Assistant or do you have experience supporting children with special educational needs? This lovely special school requires a teaching assistant who loves working with special needs and helping young people to engage in education. You will be working closely with an experienced class teacher and team of teaching assistants who are committed to ensuring that every child has access to a wonderful education!As a teaching assistant you will be working on a 1-2-1 or small group basis within the class. Supporting children with a range of special educational needs including Autism, complex needs, and physical disabilities. The team are supportive, and facilities are excellent, allowing you to focus on supporting the needs of children in the class. This in an ongoing opportunity at an excellent school for a Level 3 qualified teaching assistant.Job Role:
  • Supporting on a 1-2-1 basis within small classes of KS3 or 4 children with additional needs
  • Having a good understanding of a range of special educational needs
  • Working as a Classroom Assistant / Teaching Assistant
  • Taking part in whole school activities and making school fun, engaging and beneficial for pupils
  • Dismantling barriers to communication and making learning fun
