Teaching Assistant – South Birmingham 1-2-1 Teaching Assistant required to support a Key Stage 4 student with an EHCP. This excellent SEMH school is looking for a Teaching Assistant to provide behavioural and social support for this student on an ongoing basis. As a Teaching Assistant at this provision, you will be joining an experienced team of support and teaching staff who are passionate about breaking down barriers to education and ensuring that young people are given every opportunity to succeed.This role requires a Teaching Assistant or LSA who has previously worked with young people who have faced barriers to learning and ideally hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or degree equivalent. This is a long-term opportunity for you to make a difference, breaking down barriers to education and inspiring young people. You will receive excellent support from the pastoral team and teaching staff. A valid DBS and experience as a Teaching Assistant or Mentor is essential for this role. Job Role:
  • Supporting challenging behaviours on a 1-2-1 basis
  • Working as a Teaching Assistant / mentor
  • Acting as a positive role model for students
  • Delivering 1-2-1 intervention sessions focused on communication and behaviours
