Location - Handsworth Position - Teaching Assistant Type of work - working under the direction of the class teacher Contract or position start date - ASAP Duration - Ongoing Contract or position end date - Ongoing Contract type - Temporary Full time/part time - Full time Minimum rate of pay - Negotiable Hours - 8:30 am - 3:30pm : Mon - Fri (term time only) Key Responsibilities:· Supporting class teachers with lesson delivery and student engagement · Assisting with small group work or one-to-one support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) · Helping with classroom management and ensuring a positive, inclusive learning environment · Supervising children during break times, lunch, and other school activities Experience, Training, and Qualifications:· Previous experience working with children, either in a school setting or a similar role · A passion for education and supporting young people · Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are desirable but not essential · Safeguarding: Up-to-date Safeguarding training is imperative. If you havent completed a Safeguarding course in the last 12 months, Prospero Teaching can provide you with a free course.
