IC Talent are recruiting for a vibrant and welcoming educational institution dedicated to providing a safe and enriching environment for both students and staff. We are looking for a reliable and dedicated School Caretaker to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring our facilities remain clean, safe, and well-maintained.

This position is temporary to permanent for the right person, split shift or full day optional.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning & Maintenance:Ensure the cleanliness of classrooms, corridors, offices, restrooms, and outdoor areas.
  • Repairs:Conduct minor repairs and maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, and general building work.
  • Security:Lock/unlock buildings as required and ensure security systems are functioning.
  • Health & Safety:Maintain a clean and hazard-free environment, including checking that fire alarms, emergency exits, and other safety equipment are in working order.
  • Groundskeeping:Maintain outdoor spaces, including mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and clearing paths.
  • Supplies:Assist with the movement and storage of furniture, materials, and supplies.
  • Support for Events:Provide general support for school events and functions as needed.
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience in caretaking, facilities management, or a similar role.
  • Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repairs.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Previous experience in a school environment (preferred but not essential).
