Our client is an award winning, family-owned business who have a strong presence in a wide range of sectors including pharmaceutical, flavours and fragrance, personal care and agrochemical to name a few.

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking for your next challenge? Our client has an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to join our team and play a key role in our business. You will provide leadership to the small team of electrical technicians whilst also maintaining and developing our electrical systems.

Key Tasks:

  • Lead maintenance and planned preventative maintenance activities
  • Design, specify and install electrical equipment for projects and upgrades
  • Manage and oversee a team of four electrical technicians and contractor
  • Act as a Technical Authority on electrical matters, ensuring compliance with ATEX, BS60079 and safety regulations
  • Liaise with internal teams and external bodies (HSE, EA, suppliers, contractors)
  • Train and develop electrical personnel

Skills and experience:

  • Min HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Understanding of ATEX and ability to competently specify electrical equipment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple complex tasks.
  • A flexible, safety-first approach to work
  • Strong leadership skills
