Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer seeking an exciting opportunity within a key joint venture in the water industry? Our client, a collaboration between two leading contractors, is looking for a talented Electrical Design Engineer to work on critical water infrastructure projects in the Severn Trent region.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver electrical design solutions for water infrastructure projects, including power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation.
- Produce detailed electrical designs, drawings, and technical specifications in line with industry standards, client requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including mechanical and civil engineers, project managers, and contractors, to ensure the integration of electrical systems.
- Review and approve electrical design submissions, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with Severn Trent framework requirements.
- Support project teams with electrical expertise during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
- Provide technical support to resolve design challenges and ensure projects meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Prepare technical documentation, including design reports, calculations, and progress updates.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to discuss design requirements and progress.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer, ideally within the water sector or related infrastructure industries.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, industry standards, and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail when developing complex designs.
- Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with project teams and clients.
- Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering (e.g., BEng/MEng in Electrical Engineering) and professional certifications.
- Familiarity with the Severn Trent Framework or similar utility frameworks is a strong advantage.
