Role Purpose:
To create electrical designs and procure specialist packages in heavy industries
What you'll be doing
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will have the following accountabilities;
Design LV electrical distribution systems
Create the following documentation:
Specifications & Datasheets
Cable Calculations & Schedules
Drawings (via CAD team)
Review and check manufacturer document / information for compliance with
project specifications.
Develop and maintain relationships with relevant technical consultants and
suppliers.
Who we're looking for
Qualities and experience:
Must be proficient in Trimble (Amtech) ProDesign.
Clear focus on collaboration and building relationships with other designers and
project teams to deliver cost effective and acceptable design solution
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and write clearly and succinctly
Promote innovation and continuous improvement in design.
Excellent IT Skills are desirable.
Microsoft Office experience is essential including Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint.
Detailed knowledge of codes of practice and other regulatory material.
Experience in a broad range of heavy industries such as Petrochemical, Power
Generation, Renewables and Nuclear.
Beneficial experience:
Design of HV electrical systems
Use of AutoCAD and/or Revit software
Use of Dialux or Relux software
Use of SKM, ETAP, Digsilent, PSCAD software
Design of ATEX systems
