Role: Electrical Maintenance Engineer 

Here at Futures, we are delighted to be working with a nationally recognised food manufacturing business based in the Birmingham area.

Due, to internal progression and investments into the site, they are now looking to appoint an Electrical Engineer to join their Engineering department, and oversee Electrical Maintenance and CI on site.

Reporting into the Engineering Manager a Electrical Engineering Manager will be responsible for, providing continuous electrical maintenance and repair service to all production equipment and machinery within a timely manner and whilst ensuring that production downtime is kept to a minimum.

Responsibilities of an Electrical Engineer:

  • Maintain, repair or replace electrical equipment | machinery to a standard that will ensure maximum machine efficiency and performance.
  • Attending equipment and machinery breakdowns and prioritising workload accordingly.
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance of electrical equipment, systems, and controls.
  • To undertake development work that extends effective usefulness of company equipment.
  • To Identify and take appropriate remedial action to rectify equipment faults and failures.
  • Ensure all necessary maintenance information is recorded using the recognised documentations.

Successful Maintenance Engineer will be:

  • Apprentice trained to a Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Discipline or equivalent.
  • Well versed in working for a fast-paced manufacturing industry.
  • Great problem-solving skills.
  • A great communicator.
