LeadElectrical Engineer - Requirements
- HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- DSEAR training
- Hazardous area certification
- Competence in ATEX, area classification and BS60079 all parts.
- Understanding of the operating principles of the site electrical equipment.
- Understanding of practical problem solving, process and plant maintenance and modification, installation and commissioning of processing equipment.
- Understanding of COSHH and risk assessments.
- Understanding of spillage and waste disposal procedures.
- Understanding of near miss/incident reporting procedures.
- Understanding of site safety and emergency procedures.
- Understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and GMP (where applicable).
- Competence in working at height and confined space entry.
- Competence in Permit Acceptance.
LeadElectrical Engineer - Responsibilities
- Responsible for the organisation and operation of the electrical department and all electrical services covering supply maintenance and new capital work.
- Project work - responsible for the design, specification, and installation of all electrical equipment for new capital, maintenance and upgrading work and controlling expenditure within authorized budgets.
- Maintenance operations - responsible for the provision, operation and development of all maintenance and planned preventative maintenance systems and the development and training of in-house personnel.
- Utilities management - responsible for negotiating price structures, services and maintenance contracts from electrical and telecommunication providers and implementing supply arrangements.
- Management - Control of expenditure and resources within authorised budgets to meet required targets for plant operation, and provision of technical advice on electrical matters.
