MULTI SKILLED MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

MONDAY - FRIDAY: DAYS

£35,000 - £45,000 PER ANNUM

People Solutions are actively seeking a dedicated Maintenance Electrician or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client’s on-site team.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring that their manufacturing processes and installations run smoothly and efficiently.

Day to Day Duties

• Conduct scheduled and reactive maintenance on electrical systems within the manufacturing environment.• Diagnose and repair electrical faults, ensuring systems operate safely and at peak efficiency.• Support and participate in new electrical installations, following all relevant standards and safety requirements.• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to enhance the longevity and performance of equipment.• Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to assist in troubleshooting and repairs.• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient communication and effective issue resolution.• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols and regulations• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems as needed.• Use combined electrical and mechanical skills to troubleshoot complex issues across various equipment.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Maintenance Electrician/Engineer within the steel industry.• Qualification in electrical installations and practices (17th/18th Edition certification required).• Knowledge of inspection and testing procedures (desirable).• Demonstrated experience with preventive maintenance practices.• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics.• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.• Knowledge of safety regulations and practices.

Desirable Experience

• Experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repairs.• Additional certifications in inspection and testing procedures.• Willingness to participate in cross-functional training to develop both electrical and mechanical expertise.
