About the Role
Within this role as a Senior Engineer Electrical Services, you will be a key part of the team and havea high degree of self-government. You should have strong technical expertise, good leadership, andproblem-solving skills, and be a forward planner with the ability to deliver high-standard work toproject programmes. You should also be able to take on the management of more junior teammembers, along with client relationship management.
You should have a strong track record in multiple sectors in which my client operates. Ideally, be aChartered Engineer, or progressing to, educated to a degree level with experience working on avariety of medium-sized projects.
You'll be part of an enthusiastic and committed team of Engineersand Technicians delivering high-quality output on projects.
Client care and repeat business are crucial to my clients' success, so you'll need to be able todevelop and nurture relationships with clients.
The Role
As the successful Senior/Principal Engineer, you will have:
-Substantial experience -at least 7 years working within the building services engineering area.
- Produce design deliverables (including drawings, specifications, and reports), site surveys,construction stage duties, client liaison with members of design/construction teams, projectmanagement, costing, and ensure progress against the project brief.
- Check calculations and production of detailed drawings to ensure engineering designs meetappropriate quality and compliance controls, project brief and customer requirements.
- Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary members of the design team to deliver safe, efficientand buildable solutions.
- Contribute to the preparation of enquiry plans, tender reviews, fee estimate sheets, scopes ofwork and change controls as required.
- Management of Engineers and Technicians in the production of calculations, design deliverables(including drawings, specifications, and reports), site surveys, construction stage duties, clientliaison, liaison with members of design/construction teams, project management, costing andany other relevant duty.
- Making client presentations on selected projects.
- Helping to generate repeat business through building relationships with clients.
- Be client-facing and involved in all stages of the projects from inception to completion.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
My client islooking for:
- ADegree in Building Services Engineering
- A CIBSE professional registration (CEng or progressing towards)
- Substantial experience at least 7 years working within the building services engineering area.
- Demonstrable experience in delivering projects in multiple sectors such as education, healthcare, residential, commercial etc.
- Experience in Software design including - Microsoft, Dialux, Amtech, Revit
- Knowledge of British Standards, Building Regulations, HTMs etc.
- An understanding of incorporating various renewable technologies.
- Experience in managing Engineers, Apprentices, and Graduates.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Understanding of commercial elements of projects.
- Confident communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas.
- Essential technical experience: Design of Electrical Building Services
- Able to travel to the office in Birmingham and clients across the region.
