We are recruiting a Senior Electrical Building Services Engineer to join our Birmingham office. In this role, you’ll work on exciting developments across the UK, collaborating closely with our talented team to deliver outstanding results.
About the Role
As a Senior Engineer, you’ll take ownership of technical and leadership responsibilities, delivering high-quality work while mentoring junior team members. You’ll be involved in all stages of projects, from inception to completion, managing client relationships and driving repeat business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Producing design deliverables (drawings, specifications, reports).
- Conducting site surveys, managing construction stages, and liaising with design and construction teams.
- Ensuring compliance with quality standards, project briefs, and client requirements.
- Contributing to project costing, tender reviews, and fee estimates.
- Leading presentations and building client relationships.
- Managing Engineers and Technicians while ensuring project delivery aligns with timelines and budgets.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Degree in Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
- CIBSE professional registration (CEng or working towards).
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in building services engineering.
- Demonstrable expertise in delivering projects across various sectors.
- Proficiency in design software: Microsoft, Dialux, Amtech, Revit.
- Strong knowledge of British Standards, Building Regulations, and HTMs.
- Experience incorporating renewable technologies.
- Leadership skills with experience managing teams of Engineers and Graduates.
- Excellent communication and project management abilities.
- Willingness to travel within the region.
