An established and innovative building services consultancy is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of electrical engineering projects. Role

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the design of electrical systems for buildings, including mains distribution, renewables, efficient lighting, fire alarms, and security systems.
  • Conducting surveys, system analyses, and feasibility studies to evaluate system performance and client suitability.
  • Managing the financial and technical aspects of projects as a project leader.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including clients, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Performing detailed design calculations and developing design proposals at all stages.
  • Preparing tender documentation and monitoring site progress to ensure high standards.
  • Driving business development initiatives as required.

Requirements

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in building services design.
  • Proficiency in Amtech design software; experience with Revit or AutoCAD is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with integrating renewable technologies such as photovoltaic systems.
  • Knowledge of BIM standards and sustainable design principles.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.
  • Membership in a relevant professional institute is desirable.
