Senior Mechanical Engineer

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (DOE)

An industry leading consultancy are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their rapidly growing R&D team developing a large variety of products for their clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Experience using CAD/CAE software and tools.  
• Perform calculations and simulations, including FEA and injection moulding analysis.
• Design and development on a range of products, within client requirements.
• Develop manufacturing and assembly strategies for new products.
• A great creative problem-solver, able to generate innovative solutions for complex problems.
• Guide, support and check the work of the more junior members of the engineering team.
• Manage the workload of yourself and your team to meet project deadlines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver on technical and commercial project goals

Qualifications:

• 1st or 2:1 bachelor’s degree level in Mechanical Engineering
• 3-5 years of experience working in mechanical design environment.
• Ideally have experience within product using CAD/CAE tools and techniques to deliver product solutions.
• Project management to oversee multiple client needs.
• Knowledge of low-volume rapid prototyping technologies as well high-volume processes such as injection moulding
• A track record of overseeing projects and client relations.
