A family-owned business that has close links to the events sector is looking to recruit a methodical Service Engineer to maintain and repair a range of audio-visual equipment.
What’s in it for you?
- Work hours: Monday to Friday, part-time or full-time hours considered - 30 hours part-time; 40 hours full-time. If full-time, the Service Engineer will also be expected to pick up on warehouse tasks
- Salary: £23,795 to £33,280, pro rata if part-time

Service Engineer Responsibilities:
- Maintain and service all audio-visual equipment to ensure all equipment is reliable and extends their working life
- Repair damaged equipment, ensuring equipment is repaired quickly and to a high standard
- Carry out health and safety audits and risk assessments to ensure the service area is safe
- Undertake PAT tests on all equipment and ensure certificates are updated
- Identify spare parts and other items required by the service department
- Report on non-conformities and other issues relating to equipment
Service Engineer Skills and Experience:
- Experience within electronics or electrical engineering is essential, and it would be desirable if you had a Level 3 Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
- A critical thinker who can problem solve and has an aptitude for Maths
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build close-knit relationships with stakeholders and suppliers
