Our client, a prominent player in the power utilities and energy sector, is currently seeking an Authorised Person to join their team. The role is integral within the power distribution and renewables sectors, involving high voltage responsibilities and coordination of temporary works, ensuring the reliable transmission and distribution of energy across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acting as the Authorised Person for high voltage operations, including 400Kv and 132Kv networks
- Performing duties of a Temporary Works Coordinator, ensuring safety and compliance
- Conducting inspections and maintenance of National Grid & Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
- Leading and supervising high voltage projects, ensuring successful and timely completion
- Ensuring all works adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Liaising with project managers, engineers, and field teams to coordinate and manage site activities
- Providing technical expertise and support regarding high voltage systems
- Maintaining comprehensive records and preparing detailed reports on activities and incidents
Job Requirements:
- Experience in high voltage operations, particularly with 132Kv to 400kv systems
- Certification as an Authorised Person in high voltage Natiional Grid systems
- Previous experience as a Temporary Works Coordinator
- Understanding of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
- Strong knowledge of power utilities, power distribution, and renewables sectors
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Willingness to travel and work across various sites in the UK, with accommodation and expenses covered
- Relevant engineering or technical qualification
