About the role:
The High Voltage Jointer/Fitter will install, maintain, and repair high voltage cables up to 33kV and associated electrical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, joint and terminate high voltage cables up to 33kV.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HV cable, switchgear, transformers and associated electrical components.
- Diagnose faults and carry out necessary corrective actions to restore system integrity.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, standards, and best practices in HV installations.
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, customers and project teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of work completed.
- Work in various environments, including substations and underground cable networks.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies.
What we are looking for:
- NVQ Level 3 in Power Supply and Distribution Cabling or similar qualification within Electrical or High Voltage Jointing/Fitting.
- Valid JIB CSCS Card
- Certification in HV jointing from a recognized authority such as a DNO, ICP or Industry Body.
- Valid Electrical Trade License.
