Electronics Design Engineer

Role Overview: As Electronics Design Engineer you will be a key player in the design and development of electronic components integral to thermal management products. Your work will contribute significantly to maintaining their competitive edge in safety, quality, performance, and value.

Electronics Design Engineer responsibilities:

  • Design, verify, and validate hardware from simulation to schematic capture and PCB layout.
  • Prototype hardware builds and liaise with PCBA suppliers.
  • Test and troubleshoot at unit and system levels.
  • Design, verify, and validate low-level firmware and drivers.
  • Maintain component libraries, firmware modules, and design rules.
  • Participate actively in design reviews, FMEA, and collaborative engineering activities.
  • Adhere to company engineering processes.

Required Skills:

  • Circuit design, schematic capture, PCB design, and assembly.
  • Circuit test and debugging.
  • Proficiency in Embedded C/C++.

Experience:

  • Industry experience as Junior or Midweight.
  • Schematic capture and PCB layout using tools like Altium Designer.
  • Assembly of complex PCBAs.
  • Designing with microcontrollers (e.g., PIC, ARM Cortex, AVR).
  • Firmware development in C/C++.
  • Requirements capture and design documentation in a regulated environment.

Desirables:

  • BLDC motor control, DC-DC converters, and power systems.
  • Designing for EMC and on-vehicle testing.
  • Experience with RTOS, closed loop control systems, and code management tools like Git.
  • High-level programming languages (e.g., C#, Python) and ISO26262 compliance.
