The Role:
As a Senior Electronics Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of custom and standard battery solutions for a range of applications. You will work in a multi-disciplinary engineering team, contributing to the full product lifecycle from concept to manufacture. Occasional national and international travel may be required for customer visits and trade shows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers to define requirements and solutions
- Develop product specifications and design documentation
- Design & develop using 8-bit and 16-bit microcontrollers
- Work on analogue circuit design and switch-mode power supply design (DC/DC)
- Create schematics and PCB layouts (preferably in Altium Designer)
- Ensure designs meet EMC standards and liaise with test houses
- Conduct design validation, testing, and manufacturing optimization
- Provide technical input for new product ideas
- Estimate and manage task durations effectively
What You Need:
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Experience in mixed analogue/digital board development
- Strong low-power design expertise
- Knowledge of switch-mode power supply design
- Experience with I2C peripherals and embedded C software development
- Understanding of EMC regulations & compliance
- Experience in designing for cost-sensitive applications
- Ability to manage supplier relationships and product lifecycles
- Full UK driving license

Location: Commutable from Staffordshire, Cheshire, Manchester, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Derby, and surrounding areas
Contract: 3 months (Outside IR35)
Rate: 50 - 55 per hour
Hybrid: 3 days on-site
