Within the scientific industry, Field Service Engineers are responsible for the maintenance, installation and repair of a range of scientific equipment. They provide excellent customer care in a challenging hands-on position, servicing instruments used in a range of industries to ensure optimum performance and minimal down-time.

Our client manufactures and sells high end scientific instrumentation. Due to an increase in demand for their instruments, we are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join their growing team specialising on their FT-IR & Raman Spectroscopy instrumentation. As a field-based engineer, you will be required to travel to customer sites across the UK for the installation, maintenance and repair of their products.

To be suitable for this position, you will have/be:

- Minimum BSc in an engineering/scientific discipline (Relevant HNC qualifications also suitable)

- Previous experience fault finding and maintaining Scientific instrumentation, ideally FT-IR & Raman spectroscopy

- Comfortable with travel (between 70-80% of your time will be on the road)

- Strong interpersonal skills, a proactive mindset and an ability to analyse and solve complex problems

- Excellent communication skills and able to provide a high level of customer service
