Our client is a large engineering consultant with strong links within a technical advisor capacity to the public sector. Due to significant growth of work, driven by public sector investment, they are currently looking to recruit an individual with a specific passion to improve the carbon footprint of pre-existing properties in the public sector. The successful individual will join a business that operates at the forefront of the market, having a dedicated national M&E team that focuses on decarbonisation schemes and assisting clients in maximising their assets within their portfolio.
The client embraces modern working and as such operates one of the best hybrid working schemes in the market. This includes working hour flex, work the hours that fit into your home life, some current employees use this to create a 4 day working week. Remote working is fully embraced, with no set amount of time to go into the office, their key focus is on getting the work done.
The ideal candidate that they are looking for will come from a building services background, they can be qualified via either electrical, mechanical or a building services engineering background. They are open to background experience but would prefer an individual from either a consultancy background or an end client estates background. Individuals will ideally have made progress via their relevant professional body such as CIBSE IET or IMechE.
They must have prior experience of carbon saving based projects, taking projects from survey to specification through to delivery. Likely projects will include, boiler replacement programmes, air source/ground source heat pumps, solar/pv schemes and lighting upgrades.
