Think Community Partnership are delighted to be working with a reputable housing association based in the West Midlands, committed to providing excellent housing services to their communities. We are seeking a skilled and organised Repairs Planner to join their team on a permanent basis, working remotely to coordinate and manage repair services across their housing portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and coordinate responsive and planned repair works for tenants across the West Midlands.
  • Allocate jobs to in-house operatives, ensuring effective resource management.
  • Monitor the progress of repairs to ensure timely and satisfactory completion.
  • Maintain communication with tenants, contractors, and internal teams to provide updates and resolve any issues.
  • Ensure repairs are prioritised according to urgency and safety requirements.
  • Use the housing associations IT systems to log and track repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and other legal standards.
  • Prepare reports and provide updates to senior management on repair performance and contractor efficiency.

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar repairs planning or scheduling role, ideally within social housing.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience with housing management or repairs scheduling software (e.g., Orchard, Northgate, or similar systems).
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment.
  • Good knowledge of health and safety regulations related to housing repairs.
