This role is pivotal in protecting information systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. The successful candidate will be instrumental in monitoring potential threats, analyzing security incidents, and implementing countermeasures to safeguard sensitive information.

Day to day of the role:
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director IT to develop a comprehensive security strategy in conjunction with third-party vendors/suppliers.
  • Vigilantly monitor security systems and networks for suspicious activity.
  • Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Implement, maintain, and update a suite of security tools and technologies.
  • Enforce data loss prevention measures to protect sensitive information.
  • Create and disseminate materials to enhance organisational cyber security awareness, education, and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Robust understanding of network security, systems security, and application security.
  • Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and SIEM.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks like NIST and ISO 27001.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or Security+ are preferred.
