Pearson Carter is working with an innovative insurance company who is looking to hire an MI Solutions Developer to join the development team and work autonomously to design, develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI. The role is hybrid and based in Birmingham, for the first 4-6 weeks they do require the candidate on-site while undergoing training, then move to at least 2 days in the office and the rest remotely. They are offering a salary of up to £35,000 + benefits.

The role

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI to provide insights and business intelligence solutions
  • Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various databases, ensuring data integrity and optimisation of performance
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and translate business requirements into actionable data insights
  • Leverage advanced analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and machine learning techniques (where applicable) to push the boundaries of data-driven decision-making
  • Automate data workflows and reporting processes to streamline business operations and reduce manual effort

The Candidate

  • At least 2 years experience of Power BI and SQL
  • Good knowledge, experience and understanding of Power BI, SQL and Excel
  • Knowledge of insurance terminology and working practices
  • At least an A Level or HND in Computer Studies or equivalent technical qualification

Salary

The client is offering a salary of up to £35,000 + benefits, including:
