Are you looking to take the next step in your career and be the main point of contact for the Environment Agenda on large scale construction projects?

If the answer to the above is yes, then you may be interested in the Environment Manager we are currently recruiting for. The organisation currently turnover in excess of 3 billion and have a track record of successful operations across major construction and infrastructure projects, whilst keeping sustainability at the heart of their operations. This position will be joining a well-established team and will be focusing on a major project they have in Birmingham.

Responsibilities for the Environment Manager will include:

  • Ensuring the delivery of the environmental policy, and compliance with legislation and regulations across two major projects.
  • Ensure the implementation of the Environment and Sustainability strategy and support the development of this with the project teams.
  • Carrying out site inspections and audits and undertaking preliminary environmental assessment, as well as providing environmental training where required
  • Acting as the main point of contact for the environment and sustainability program with key stakeholders including clients, contractors, and regulators

The successful Environment Manager will have:

  • Proven experience in a similar role ideally within the construction, infrastructure or wider built environment
  • Ideally a degree in a relevant Environmental related subject
  • Experience with Environmental management systems e.g., ISO14001, waste management plans and ideally carbon and energy reporting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ideally experience working closely with stakeholders
