This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sustainability Consultant to join a growing multidisciplined MEP consultancy in their offices in Birmingham. The successful candidate will alongside the Sustainability Director and work on large residential and commercial projects.

Role responsibilities for a sustainability consultant include:

  • Use IES software to carry out Part L modelling and EPCs
  • Produce energy statements and reports for planning and BREEAM requirements
  • Work alongside the MEP team and improve energy efficiency of projects by carrying out energy audits
  • Take the lead on various projects and client meetings, carrying out site visits when needed to

The ideal Sustainability Consultant will have:

  • A level 4 NDEA qualification with proficiency with IES software
  • Good knowledge and experience with carrying out overheating assessments against TM59 and Part O
  • Good knowledge of London Plan requirements, UK building regulations and Part L compliance
  • Relevant degree within a sustainability or energy field with a Masters being desirable
  • Relevant experience within a Sustainability Consultancy role
