We’re looking for an Event Organiser who has a passion for live events whether they be music, sporting, or business and hobby focused. Alternatively, you may simply be wildly passionate about our City of Birmingham and proud that we have world class venues to showcase a wide range of interests. A large exhibition centre located in Birmingham is looking for an Event Organiser to manage the day-to-day delivery of customer engagement campaigns to create a strong industry presence and positive relationships with the groups exhibition and organiser clients, driving strong awareness and positioning as market leaders. Do you enjoy live music, comedy, and in-person events? Are you looking for a hands-on role, organising some of the best events in the UK? This role brings the added perks of a great pension, hybrid working (Monday and Fridays are WFH – yay!), free parking and free meals, and discounted tickets to amazing gigs, shows, and events at the region’s ultimate venues. What you’ll do as Event Organiser:
  • Plan and deliver programme of events and customer engagement activations including thought leadership events, client hospitality and hosted events to provide positive client relationships to support retention.
  • Management of industry association memberships including sponsorship activations at awards, conferences and key industry events.
  • Support delivery of improved organiser customer journey in partnership with account/event managers creating required content and information, integrating feedback mechanism.
  • Delivery of all brand and venue marketing as required by sales and event management teams.
  • Planning and delivery of organiser Christmas Party within budget, whilst maximising opportunities for customer engagement.
  • Work in collaboration with Visitor Marketing Manager to provide marketing services in support of new business launches/activations where the group has profit share.
  • Provide clear reporting and evaluation across all activities to key stakeholders.
What we’re looking for:
  • Educated to degree level and/or member of a professional marketing association i.e. Chartered Institute of Marketing / Institute of Direct Marketing
  • Significant experience of marketing and communications in a fast moving, creative environment
  • Previous experience working across both B2B marketing.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in marketing across the mix, understanding the advantages and disadvantages of different channels and how to best achieve results with different levels of budget.
  • Proven event planning and project management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong planning and copywriting skills.
