An amazing opportunity has arisen, working with a highly regarded production agency, specialising in AV production to the live events industry – you will be a senior part of the team, managing people and making key decisions!

THE COMPANY

This established event production/AV agency, who are known across the industry for being the best at what they do, are now looking for someone to be based at one of their venues in the Midlands. The venue is extremely modern and hosts a whole range of events, from parties, annual themed events, conferences and much more! The wider company, supply tech for over 100s of events per year – conferences, award ceremonies, experiential, production activations and exhibition build – no two days are ever the same! With a huge variety of large scale projects they work with some well-known, global brands across sectors including financial services, fashion, gaming and alcohol.

THE ROLE

As Head of Venue Production, you will be working within a very well-known Birmingham based venue, driving the team forward, managing client relationships and being commercially aware. You will also be required to have a technical understanding but not to a highly advanced level, people management and the ability to work with clients is more desirable.

Your daily duties will typically include:

  • Main point of contact for production services for the venue
  • Lead the internal team based at the venue
  • Building and developing long term client relationships through exceptional client care
  • Advising on technical solutions for live, virtual and hybrid events
  • Accompanying venue sales staff on show-rounds and supporting sales efforts
  • Providing quotations, CAD drawings and specifications
  • Arranging and booking crew and equipment logistics for events
  • Responsible for all equipment residing at the venue 

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will have proved leadership experience in event production, technical AV support and a strong track record in building client relationships. This is a busy and fast-paced environment so we are looking for candidates who are team players and can work well under pressure.
